Music City Yoga Festival

Sep 25, 2014

Some day1920231_10105096246238560_1565693088438898292_ns in Nashville it seems like there’s yoga everywhere. In schools. In studios. On the water. In parks. At the offices of the Cumberland River Compact. And, of course, on the water. But once one gets into the flow (pun intended) of one style of class, one teacher or one studio, it can be hard to motivate to explore the others.

On Saturday, October 4, 2014 all those asanas and sun salutations will come together in one place for the second annual Music City Yoga Festival (MCYF).  Head to 429 Event Space to check it out. There will be 21 different teachers representing 11 different styles of yoga throughout the day. Tickets are available for either morning (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) or afternoon (2 p.m. – 5 p.m.) for $40 per session; two Kenyans from AYP will be among the teachers. Proceeds from the day benefit both Africa Yoga Project (AYP), like last year, as well as Small World Yoga, a new Nashville-based non-profit that works to increase accessibility to yoga in a variety of communities. Because this is Nashville, the day will be capped off with a post-afternoon-session music and dance party.

We’ll have a booth at the event, with some swag, too, so come by and say “hi.”
