Report from Outdoor Retailer
Margaret spent last week in Salt Lake City, for the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. This is the industry’s largest trade show, and she spent the days soaking up all sorts of information about programs, camps, classes and more that we can tailor for Nashville waterways and add to our offerings in 2017.
She also got to test lots of new kayaks and paddleboards, including modular boats and adaptive equipment designed for those with disabilities. It is exciting to be part of a young sport that is innovating and expanding its reach.
Hala Gear, one of our board brands, has upped their game for 2017. Their new inflatables have carbon fiber and fiberglass that still allows them to be portable, but adds stiffness and stability to the boards. And Margaret’s favorite hard board, the Glide Quest, is back for 2017 in three sizes (10’6″, 11’6″ and 12’6″) with a full awesome deck pad and a lighter overall weight.
Stay tuned for more updates as we sort through it all.
