Things to Know
We can’t wait to get you on the water! A few things to make it happen before you paddle with Nashville Paddle Company:
After you book your rental, lesson or class you will receive an e-mail confirmation with directions and other details. If you do not receive this, let us know.
Equipment: Lessons include use of a quality paddleboard, paddle, PFD with whistle and leash. Please let us know if you have any children (under age 12) in your group or anyone weighing under 100 lbs. or more than 250 lbs. Let us know if anyone in your group does not know how to swim.
What to wear: Wear board shorts, swimsuits or other clothing that can get wet. Flip flops are good for getting to the water, but you will paddle barefoot. Wear sunscreen, bring water. If you have straps to keep sunglasses on your head, bring those. If not, we may have extras. Leave everything else at home.
Signed waivers: We MUST have a signed digital waiver from everyone in your party before you can paddle. If you have not paddled with us before, and please read and agree to the digital waiver that is in your confirmation e-mail.
Reminder 1: Please arrive 15 minutes before your class or rental starts. We will not accommodate late arrivals. Your confirmation e-mail will also have a link to directions, which can also be found here.
Reminder 2: You strongly encourage you to take a lesson or have prior paddling experience (i.e. prior instruction) before renting a board on your own. If not, our Guides will give you a 15-minute overview. We do not permit inexperienced paddlers on the water unattended.
Reminder 3: Please make sure we have one cell phone number for your party so we can reach you in case of weather or other last-minute changes.
Reminder 4: Do not drink alcohol before or during your paddle. We’re happy to suggest places to go for a waterfront drink after you paddle.
Reminder 5: Our cancellation policy: All purchases are final. We issue credit for a future class if we have to postpone due to weather. This credit is good all season and is transferrable to others. No shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are not issued credit. We do not issue refunds.
