Cumberland River Paddlefest 2015
Only five days left to the big local paddling event of the season. This Saturday, May 2, is the Cumberland River Paddlefest, the free kickoff to the season in Middle Tennessee. More 70 vendors will be on hand to let you demo canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and other things that float. Come out and listen to music, talk to other paddlers, hear what we have planned for the summer.
Paddlefest will be bigger and better this year, thanks, in part, to a new location at the Lighthouse Event Center on Old Hickory Lake (near Drakes Creek).
The event runs from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Liz will be doing a FloYo demo class at 1 p.m. and Jacky and Margaret will join Jackson Kayak’s Samantha for a Paddling with your Pets talk. We’ll have a drawing for a free class or rental and snacks and all sorts of fun things in the booth.
Jonesing for a new SUP board (brand new or just new-to-you)? We’ll have some gear for sale, including boards, paddles and waterproof ukuleles.
See you Saturday!
